Tabletop Games

So today in one of my game design classes we spent an hour and a half looking at tabletop games. Our current assignment is to design a tabletop adventure that would last about 3-4 hours. It was a very interesting experience, being a primarily digital gamer myself. 

Our professor was a gamer back through his high school and college years and he was telling us some old role playing stories of his. He was telling us about how he and his friends would carry around surveying tools to draw maps on the go and how they would have sometimes 8 or 9 hour Dungeons and Dragons sessions.

Well, since we have to design our own adventure game and since I really enjoy Monster Hunter, I am going to be making a table top RPG based on Monster Hunter. Since the experience is only supposed to be about 3 or 4 hours I decided to have only predetermined battles against some boss monsters rather than the building up most people have to do in Monster Hunter games. So, I am going to put up a poll to see what boss monsters I should use. I only have 2 weeks to work on this so I hope that some of my followers know the Monster Hunter world or are willing to Google the monsters =)
